For Sarah Schneider @sarahs.sofites, learning to quilt was essential for her to keep a treasured family tradition alive.
“Growing up, every one of my cousins, myself included, had a special quilt in their care. Grandma handmade each and every one of them. Many have become barely more than rags, while others are still in pristine condition tucked away in safe places. Mine falls into the former category, rather than the latter. Unfortunately, Grandma passed away before I had my first child so I was worried they wouldn`t have the same experience as my cousins and I had. I had to step up and learn!” Sarah explains. “After years of watching her sew and her teaching me how to use the old Singer sewing machine I ended up down the YouTube rabbit hole to fill in the blanks. After creating a couple quilts using cheap materials for my daughter and friends, I showed up to a quilt guild in Florida, The Flying Needles Quilt Guild. Those women and men showed me and my small family so much love and knowledge.”

The whole team does a fantastic job and the magazine often has very good competitions.
an app would be excellent to keep all copies in one place but this still works well enough.
